Steve Ogilvie

Technology leader. Enterprise IT strategy, infrastructure and cybersecurity, and hands-on production AI.

Twenty-seven years delivering enterprise IT strategy, infrastructure transformation and cyber-secure operations across complex organisations. Then, after a deliberate pause to support family, two years of intensive, self-directed work building real AI systems: agentic platforms, autonomous automation, AI integrated into operational infrastructure. Working systems solving real problems, not theoretical exploration.

Few people hold both halves: the discipline of enterprise IT, where things must not break, and the hands-on craft of making modern AI actually run. For organisations, that combination is what turns AI experiments into AI in production, governed, secured, monitored and delivering.

Independent AI & Automation Practice

Okavyx

Self-directed deep dive into modern AI systems, focused on building production-quality tools rather than theoretical research. Key projects:

Agentic AI Platform okavyx.ai

Designed and built an autonomous AI agent platform with persistent memory, multi-model orchestration, sub-agent delegation and real-time voice interaction. Deployed with infrastructure monitoring, automated health checks, cost analytics and role-based access control. Running in production as a daily operational tool.

BiasFeed biasfeed.com

AI-powered media bias analysis platform. An automated n8n pipeline ingests news articles, uses AI to extract neutral facts, then generates parallel narratives through three distinct AI personas: progressive, conservative and centrist. Multi-model workflow running in production with daily output. Demonstrates practical AI orchestration, workflow automation and responsible AI design.

  • Built AI-assisted development pipelines, content generation systems and workflow orchestration tools.
  • Developed practical frameworks for AI governance, security and responsible deployment.
  • Maintains a public technical blog documenting AI implementation approaches and lessons learned.
